Event Description

Expo Airport is an international event focused on infrastructure for airports and airlines and will be hosted as a pavilion at TranspoQuip Latin America 2012. Together, these two events form the largest platform in Latin America for airports and give Brazil’s airport industry the attention it deserves.

With the race to upgrade facilities and get ready for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, Brazil is committed to offer opportunities for international consultants to work on master planning and design and, to suppliers to equip these projects. Approximately US$ 2 billion will be invested in host city projects over the next five years. Already announced projects include building new airports, modernizing terminals and new runaways. Further, the first steps have been made to privatize the Brazilian airports, which will generate many opportunities for companies in the industry.

Expo Airport covers a broad range of airport issues, aiming to represent this varied industry in its entirety. It covers the vast array of terminal operations, ground support equipment and handling, airfield architecture and construction and interior design and furnishing.

INFRAERO, ANAC, the Ministries of Aviation and Transportation, and the most important industry associations like ABETAR, SNEA and ABAG support the event and will be actively participating at the event with seminars, round table discussions, and a match making program.
